Natural Language Processing
Natural language processing (NLP) is a field of computer science, artificial intelligence and computational linguistics concerned with the interactions between computers and human (natural) languages.
Wallscope utilises NLP and Named Entity Recognition (NER) to identify words, sentences or even sentiment analysis. This forms the basis of a query to an RDF triple store to retrieve contextually relevant information.
Some examples of the use of this would be the now popular usage of chat-bots; visualisation of complex data surrounding a person, place or time; or positive/negative analysis of free form text surrounding a particular subject – for instance due diligence in the financial world or self-help tools in the medical world.
